SPY GIRL - THE SUPERNOVA SERIES (Part 2 of 6)

Whats happening in Manpower Brynston Division?

I’m sure we have all been hearing about the British Invasion called Sarah Swain hitting our
coastal line. Does it seem that the Boertjies are still getting all their information from abroad? Low and behold the day when one of us goes over to UK to go train the Brits on how to recruit. One thing that we defiantly can be proud of: we know how to import the Best of the Best. Flash back form the Anglo Boer War – all the woman in concentration camps again (get it?... concentrate…?) this time it’s only for a week though Phew…..

Hope we can send back some knowledge – someone please teach the English the difference between a Braai and a BBQ… Sure Ian’s team will oblige.
We have unquestionably been feeling the stress around here, I can assure you. One tell tale sign - amongst the Mondi Rotatrim explosions of paper on our desks you will find a industrial sized bottle of Rescue. The bottle doesn’t last long (May I tell you) so gone is the “paperweight justification” very soon. And most of us walk around with cotton mouth for the whole day.

Adapt or die…… that is the motto that Rodney discreetly stuck on the wall on the office support side. I can assure you all, there’s a serious Adaptation Admin War going on over there… No one wants to die. So everyone has been adapting – slowly but surely skipping a gruesome death with every keystroke. Some consultants have been treated for some serious paper cuts but Office Support will live to go to Bali…phew!

Bali – For the few that has seen the sunny beach display at Head Office knows Fred the Seal and Dorris the Duck. They are the blow-up water creatures in our entrance passage. Part of our inspiration slash motivational décor for the Bali incentive….

Pat takes them out every morning and puts them away at night for a good night’s rest… For those of us that have seen Toy Story might wonder what those two get up to in the boardroom at night….
Go Fred and Dorris!!!! Well done in motivating all the consultants and freaking out our candidates!!!!!
EDITORIAL: This is a fun column and should not be taken seriously. It does not reflect the policies of Manpower towards war, and the Boer War in particular 'bittereindes'.
