THE ANNUAL FANTASTIC EGG EATERY COMPETITION FINALISTS

On Friday the 29th February 2008, Durban General trounced Durban Finance in The Annual Fantastic Egg Eatery Competition. Representing Durban General was Jayshree Govender, Pravesh Manilall and Sarah Calverley. In the Durban Finance corner Roveena Naidoo, Tracey Lownds and Shaaista Abdul Carim defended the onslaught. First out was Jayshree Govender (after 3 eggs) followed by Roveena Naidoo (after 4 eggs). The competition then proved stiff with each team fielding 2 determined contestants. The first casualty of the duo's was Tracey Lownds (after 9 eggs) and then Shaaista (after 10 eggs). This handed the victory to Durban General. The two finalists (as seen in the video) Sarah and Pravesh then paired off against one another. The first to concede defeat was Pravesh (after 13 eggs) leaving Sarah the victor (eating a whopping 14 eggs). Sarah is a lady of immeasurable talent - she made 8 Office Support placements in her first month and coupled with this years egg eating title is proving the one to beat. We look forward to next years competition where it is expected that Durban Finance will come back with a vengance. For now, its Durban General who holds the title and champ!

THE LOVE POEM

Tannie Marie has submitted a special poem because as she puts it, "February is the month of love".

If I could save time in a bottle

the first thing that I'd like to do

is to save every day 'til eternity

passes awayjust to spend them

with youif I could make days

last foreverif words could make

wishes come trueI'd save every

day like a treasure and then

again I would spend them with you

if I had a box just for wishe

sand dreams that had never come true

the box would be empty except for the

memories of how they were answered by you

but there never seems

to be enough time to do the

things you want once you find them

I've looked around enough to know that

you're the one I want to go through time with
